GSWA : A Day Workshop Session on Alice, KV SRIKONA

Report on GSWA  :  A day Workshop session on Alice.

With thankful to the Dy. Commissioner KVS RO Silchar and Tinsukia, the Assistant Commissioners, KVS RO Silchar and Tinsukia, the Principal, KV Srikona, the Coordinator / In-charge Computer Lab, the teacher participants of the course and others who offered their cooperation and, the Team of Kamal Peter,  Senior Program Manager, APAC, Oracle Education Initiatives, Bangalore, India,  one day workshop at KV Srikna has been conducted on 22^nd May, 2013 .

The workshop “Getting Start With Alice” began with introduction of the topic with encouraging lecture on its scope and important into the class room situation.

The practice session of  Alice 3.1.49 has covered the following –

1.      Showing the product of Alice “my Project” in AVI and Flash File swf format specifically designed for the participants.

2.      Discussed on scope and use of the final  product prepared and  integration of various software technologies  in to the presentation show , has been showed to participants in the session.

3.      Demonstration on how to install the of software in to the system and showed  the  installing of  –

                  i.      jdk-7u5-windows-i586

                 ii.      Alice3Installer-Complete-3.1.49.0.0-windows

                 iii.      CAM STUDIO RECORDER for onscreen recording

                 iv.      FORMAT FACTORY – for CONVERT VIDEO FILE INTO AVI /MP4 FORMAT

4.      Participants has worked in group  on the  Alice 3.1.49 and created three different animated  products as the instructions given to them.

5.      They among themselves  share experiences on their product  “my Project” . They used many Alice software features – Move, Say, Camera features , Turn, Resize, Add KeyPress Listener, placing the object in XYZ plane etc.

6.      Recorded the screen play of  “my Project” which is in .a3p file format.

7.      Converted the product “my Project” in to AVI movie file.

8.       Finally, Adding the product ( movie file)  into to ppt Slide show – the final product by the participants.

The session ended at 5.13 PM on 22.05.13.
